Model Overdose Fatality Review Teams Act

This is a report on a suggested model policy that provides a framework for establishing county-level overdose fatality review teams in each state. The aim of overdose fatality review teams are to understand the who, what, when, where and how a fatal overdose occurs. The strategies this model policy outlines give local entities the necessary information to prevent fatal overdoses in their communities as well as ways to improve allocation and efficiency of overdose prevention resources.
